DUP is a privately-owned
Washington corporation that was established in 2006. Its principal purpose
and business is to create theatrical motion pictures and plans to develop
and produce quality films portraying positive images which stress the
overwhelming strength of the human condition as well as its fragility.
Thankfully similar big budget films have opened the market over the last
five years. The objectives of DUP are as follows:
- To produce quality films that provide positive entertainment with moral tales designed for both enjoyment and education.
- To make films that will celebrate the importance of the human condition and that will be exploitable to a mass audience.
- To produce three feature films in the first five years, with budgets ranging from $1.5 to $10 million.
- To develop more quality scripts.
- To explore overseas co-production and co-financing potential.
- To distribute DUP films through independent distribution companies.
